“We are thrilled to welcome these dynamic leaders to our board,” PsychArmor CEO Tina Atherall said in the news release. “Their leadership and expertise, combined with their strong commitment to Veteran advocacy, will be invaluable as we continue to expand our impact and fulfill our mission of empowering individuals to support military and Veteran communities.”
The appointees include legal executive Bill Aseltyne; retired Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Bill Birnie, currently president and CEO of Frontwave Credit Union; technology leader Etienne de Bruin, founder and CEO of 7CTOs; Melissa DeTamble, chief human resources officer at Ascential Technologies; retired Marine Col. Michael R. Hudson, vice president of insider risk and suicide prevention at ClearForce; retired Rear Adm. Terry Kraft, president and CEO of the USS Midway Museum; retired Navy Capt. De Bruin is known for his work in technology leadership and organizational strategy. Hudson brings operational and leadership experience from his Marine Corps career. Kraft led major Navy commands, including a carrier strike group, before moving into civilian leadership in museum and education work.
The varied backgrounds of the new board members are expected to contribute to PsychArmor’s strategic direction as it continues expanding training and educational resources designed to help employers, healthcare providers and communities better understand and support military-connected populations.
PsychArmor, with headquarters in Carlsbad, offers training, online courses and other resources aimed at increasing cultural competence with military and veteran groups.
