ENCINITAS — A free arts gathering focused on San Diego County’s District 3 is scheduled for Friday, March 20, at the Institute of Contemporary Art San Diego North in Encinitas.
The event, part of the “In Community” series, is organized by San Diego ART Matters and the San Diego County Arts & Culture Commission. It is intended to bring together artists, cultural organizations, civic leaders and community partners from District 3, represented by County Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer, as well as participants from across the county. The gathering is set for 10 a.m. to noon and will include networking opportunities, updates on arts advocacy and resources, and a local artist showcase. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Christine Jones, the county’s new manager of art, film and creative industries, along with District 3 arts and culture commissioners.
The Institute of Contemporary Art San Diego North is located at 1578 S. El Camino Real in Encinitas. RSVPs are requested through the event’s Eventbrite webpage.
