ESCONDIDO — The Popovich Comedy Pet Theater performs at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 and 1 and 5 p.m. Oct. 12 at the California Center for the Arts Escondido. The group, which has been voted Best Family Show in Las Vegas and was a finalist on “America’s Got Talent,” blends of comedy, juggling and the talents of more than 30 performing pets that were rescued from shelters by Gregory Popovich, a fifth-generation Russian circus performer.
