ENCINITAS — Lux Art Institute hosts an opening reception for artist Vicki Walsh on March 7, 6-8 p.m., at the institute, 1550 S. El Camino Real in Encinitas. Walsh has been a professional artist for more than 30 years, working both as a forensic medical illustrator and more recently as a professional oil painter. As a visiting instructor at Lux, Walsh will demonstrate her methods in oil painting and silverpoint. She will also exhibiting new works in the Education Pavilion Reception Gallery, including a series of happy faces and one work specifically created for Lux.
