ENCINITAS — San Dieguito High School Academy students perform “Trials,” a student-written and directed show by seniors Colin Gasperoni and Sophia Papalia, for three nights March 14-16 at 7 p.m. in the Clayton E. Liggett Theater on campus. “Trials” follows Samantha Belford, a tough, independent woman who leaves her family behind in the small town where she grew up to make it as a lawyer in New York City. When she is unexpectedly diagnosed with breast cancer, she returns home to try to reconcile with her family and pick up the broken pieces she left behind. As a Theatre for a Cause production, donations and proceeds earned from “Trials” will benefit Shades of Pink Foundation California. The campus is located at 800 Santa Fe Drive in Encinitas. Tickets: $8 for students and $15 for adults. The house opens at 6:30 p.m. Purchase tickets online: www.seatyourself.biz/sandieguito.
