The selection window for next fall’s San Dieguito district high school campus enrollment opens Feb. 14.

During the high school selection window — which runs Feb. 14 at 8 a.m. to March 1 at 4 p.m. — all eighth-grade students in the San Dieguito Union High School District must select the high school that they wish to attend in fall 2019, according to a district announcement. Current district high school students who want to change schools must also make a choice during the selection window.

The selection window also applies to students who live in the district’s boundaries but who do not currently attend district schools and want to next school year, the district stated in its announcement.

The district high schools involved in the selection window are San Dieguito Academy in Encinitas, La Costa Canyon in south Carlsbad, and Torrey Pines and Canyon Crest Academy, both in Carmel Valley.

Parents and students can find updated information online at www.sduhsd.net/Parents–Students/High-School-Selection/index.html.

San Dieguito High School Academy and Canyon Crest Academy are open to all district residents in grades nine through 12 on an equal basis through an open enrollment application process.

La Costa Canyon High School includes the boundaries of Encinitas and Cardiff elementary school districts and the area north of Escondido Creek in the Rancho Santa Fe Elementary School District. Torrey Pines High School includes boundaries of the Del Mar, Solana Beach and Rancho Santa Fe school districts.
