Man killed in Encinitas crash

A man died at the scene of a car crash in Encinitas on Nov. 4, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Deputies were called to Encinitas Boulevard near Balour Drive at about 7 p.m. after a report of the collision, according to the Sheriff’s Department report.

Authorities released few details of the crash in the report other than at least one car was involved, a 2007 Toyota Corolla in which a man was found trapped. Encinitas Fire Department personnel declared the man dead at the scene. No other injuries or deaths were reported.

Alcohol or drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash, authorities stated. The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
