ENCINITAS — The seventh annual Zero Waste Fair, hosted by I Love A Clean San Diego and the city of Encinitas, features education and activities for all ages on from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 25.

The Fair will include booths hosted by local sustainable businesses and nonprofit organizations, expert speakers, hands-on low waste do-it-yourself projects a Kids’ Corner with family-friendly activities and a Swap & Shop booth.

“The term zero waste can seem like an impossible mark to achieve, but it is an aspirational goal that will lead us to effectively protect our planet, eliminate harmful consumer products like single-use plastics, and conserve natural resources,” said Emily Nelson, I Love A Clean San Diego’s senior director of operations. “We don’t claim to be perfect, but every little bit helps. Everybody has the power to do something.”

The event will take place at the Encinitas Unified School District Farm Lab, 441 Quail Gardens Drive in Encinitas.
