San Diego’s top brewers announce reprise of craft beer collaboration in support of Ocean Beach event on January 11

San Diego CA— San Diego’s finest brewers announce the return of its exclusive craft beer collaboration in support of Springboard West Music Festival. The Springboard Pale Ale will be specially brewed on Dec. 18 at host brew site, OB Brewery, alongside popular San Diego breweries Amplified Ale Works, Belching Beaver Brewery, Pizza Port Ocean Beach, Mike Hess Brewing and Hodad’s Brewing.
With its light malt sweetness, muted bitterness, and notes of passionfruit and citrus flavors, the Springboard Pale Ale couples with the festival’s overall tropical theme and laid back beach vibe.
The curated craft beer will be available at all of the stages during the festival’s flagship Band & Brew Crawl event on January 11 and at a special VIP tasting at OB Brewery before the event kicks off. The team is planning to brew 20 kegs, same amount as last year.
“Supporting up and coming artists with views and brews is a true San Diegan experience,” said Heather Hudson, director of Springboard Music Festivals. “With San Diego being the hub of craft beer, we are so excited to bring this unique component to this festival and even more stoked that breweries have wanted to get involved.”
Springboard West Music Festival, dubbed the “music discovery festival”, is back in San Diego for its fourth consecutive year, Jan. 9-11. For three days, emerging artists from all over the world, industry professionals and locals will gather to celebrate the future of music. The event culminates Jan. 11 with the wildly popular Band & Brew Crawl, which will feature all artists performing at various stages throughout the beach town.
