Featuring Seasonal Specials Such as Turkey Mole Tamales and Pumpkin Flan

San Diego CA This holiday season, Diane Powers’ award-winning Bazaar del Mundo Restaurants – Casa Guadalajara, Casa de Pico and Casa de Bandini – are serving special holiday dishes infused with authentic Mexican flavors.

Each restaurant will offer an annual favorite, Turkey Mole Tamales, for both dine-in and take-out orders. Handmade tamales filled with turkey, raisins, chopped pecans and apples, the tamales are topped with a mole sauce and sesame seeds. They can also be ordered by the dozen over the phone to take home and share or save and reheat.

With vibrant and spacious décor, the dining rooms and patios overflow with festive and colorful decor providing a visual feast for all, as well as ample outdoor heating.

The holiday menus are available through the New Year and vary by restaurant; with dishes including:

Casa Guadalajara, Old Town: Green Chile & Cheese Tamales, two handmade special casa tamales filled with Monterey Jack cheese, California chiles and corn, topped with salsa verde and cheese, and served with an arroz poblano and beans; plus Pumpkin Flan enhanced with fresh pumpkin and holiday spices, garnished with sugar and cinnamon cream.

Casa de Pico, La Mesa: In addition to the Turkey Mole Tamales, Casa de Pico’s celebratory 50th Anniversary menu is still available including anniversary pricing on customer-favorites like the Cheese Crisp Special – a popular item that has been on the menu since opening in 1971.
