Is it the people? Maybe the season itself? Or simply a sense of magic that comes from living in the communities that make up coastal North County? Share your North Coast holiday memories with fellow readers of the North Coast Current.

Between now and Dec. 31, the Current invites you to submit a short, 250-word or so recollection of holiday seasons past. What made, or continues to make, your holidays here special? A photo is welcome, as well, especially if it’s of a community or family event that represents a particular period of history in our region, as late as the 1980s. Residents of our neighboring communities (such as San Marcos, Vista and Escondido) are also welcome to submit recollections.

Please remember that these recollections are for public enjoyment – an opportunity to share communal memories of North Coast holidays past. Email your recollection and high-resolution photo to holidays@northcoastcurrent.com. Include your name, community, organization, email address and contact phone number (phone numbers and email addresses will not be publicized; just your name/community/organization).

The North Coast Current reserves the right to edit material for news style and brevity, or to decline publication of submitted materials as it deems necessary.
