Oceanside CA– The Sun Diego Am Slam Skateboard Contest Series made its third, stop, of four, at the Melba Bishop Skatepark on Saturday.
Amateur contestants competed in their choice of 4 divisions and accumulate points for the entire series for an overall winner. The series is sponsored by the Sun Diego Boardshop.
The Am Slam is an amateur skateboarding contest series, designed to give local skateboarders an arena to compete in and an opportunity to excel. The Am Slam is a points-based series, which means skaters will work to accumulate points all summer and those with the highest points will advance to the Finals event. Although there will be some great prizes and trophies given out to top placing skaters at each stop, it is the winners of the Finals that will take cash and the title of Sun Diego’s 2014 Am Slam Champion. The final event will be held on Saturday, September 13th at the Rancho Penasquitos Skatepark.
