National Veterans Day Run Partners With Operation Gratitude
Oceanside CA— The 4th Annual National Veterans Day Run in Oceanside will take place at Guajome Regional Park on Saturday, November 8, 2014. The race will offer two distances, 5K and a 1-mile family and supporter walk/run. A large turnout is expected of Veterans and Active-Duty military to this race so come out and support the men and women of our armed forces.

The 5K will begin at 8:11 AM and the 1-mile walk/run will start immediately following the start of the 5K. The 5K will be professionally timed, using state-of-the-art Chronotrack timing systems.

As a way of saying thank you for your service to our Country, veterans and all active duty military personnel will receive an $11 Basic Entry into both the 5K timed run or 1-mile walk. Please choose the veteran or active duty military option during registration to receive the discount.
Spouses of veterans and active duty along with their *children, between 13-18 years old, receive a $5 discount off the current registration rate through race day. Please make sure to choose this option when you are registering.
*Children 12 and under are FREE regardless of military status.
This year’s race is in partnership with Operation Gratitude www.operationgratitude.com, a non-profit organization that sends more than 150,000 care packages annually to the men and women deployed overseas. Operation Gratitude will be present at each race location to allow runners and supporters the chance to learn more about the organization’s participation within the military community.

The Operation Gratitude team will be facilitating the delivery of care packages directly to veterans and active duty military at each race location this year, adding to our race-day activities.”
Runs for 2014 will be located in: Oceanside, Las Vegas, Irvine, San Jose, Reno, Boise, Clarkston, Spokane, Seattle, Portland, Fort Worth, Dallas, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, and Colorado Springs.
