Oceanside CA— The pairings are set for the CIF regional playoffs. In the Division III-AA bracket, Oceanside will take on the La Mirada Matadores at 7:30 on December 11 at La Mirada High School, 13520 Adelfa Dr, La Mirada, CA 90638.
On a ten game winning streak and ranked 29th in state, the La Mirada Matadores are 11-3 and won their CIF, Southern Section title, last Saturday night, beating La Serna (11-3) 45-20. Oceanside (9-4) ranked 76 in state, earned their way into the California Bowl Series by beating El Camino in the CIF, San Diego Sector Championship, 23-14.
The winner will take on either Campolindo High School from Moraga, CA (13-1) or Milpitas High School (10-3) the following weekend for the state championship.
