San Diego CA— Eduardo Middleton, a 2012 graduate of Oceanside High School, ended his college football career at Qualcomm Stadium. For the last 3 years, the 6’5″, 316lb offensive lineman, has started at right guard for head coach Mike Leach, at Washington State. The Cougars were defeated by the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 17-12, in the 2016 National Funding Holiday Bowl.
The redshirt senior was part of an offensive line, for the Cougars, which is one of the top ten best in College Football, according to Pro Football Focus, finishing the season ranked 7th.
While at Oceanside, the former Pirate lettered under former football coach John Carroll and was named All San Diego Section, all area and all league along with being named Academic All San Diego.
The Management and Operations Major also was awarded the Offensive Lineman of the year at Oceanside High School and and was named the Offensive Line MVP of the Los Angeles Ultimate 100 Camp.
“It was very unfortunate that things didn’t go the way we wanted to. I wasn’t happy about the way our offense performed tonight,” said Eduardo Middleton. “It has been a great ride here as I end my football career at Washington State. This wasn’t our day but it was good I played my last game in my hometown, here at Qualcomm.”
