Partnership with Psyonix set to include community initiatives

San Diego CA — San Diego Loyal SC (SD Loyal) announced Rocket League, the popular vehicular soccer video game developed by Psyonix, as their new front-of-kit sponsor for the 2022 season. Psyonix and Rocket League move from the back of SD Loyal’s kits to the front for the first time. Beyond the kit, the partnership will also include community initiatives.

“Just like our club, Rocket League and Psyonix are here to play and here to stay,” said SD Loyal President Ricardo Campos. “Furthermore, Psyonix is more than just a video game developer, they’re a committed community member. We’re thrilled to take our partnership to the next level and thank Psyonix for continuing to believe in our club and San Diego.”

Based in San Diego and a founding partner of SD Loyal, Psyonix is a critically acclaimed video game developer behind the hit sports-action hybrid Rocket League. Psyonix is the only video game developer to have a front-of-kit sponsorship in American professional soccer.

SD Loyal will host its official 2022 home and away kit reveal event on Thursday, March 3rd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station. The event is free and open to the public. Fans interested in attending are encouraged to arrive early and RSVP here.

Presale orders for SD Loyal’s 2022 home and away kits are available now at TheShop.SDLoyal.com. Orders placed now through March 1st will be available for pick up exclusively at the event. In addition, event attendees will have the first opportunity to buy the 2022 home and away kits in-person.
