SDCCU returns as sponsor of Union-Tribune Countywide Spelling Bee

San Diego County Credit Union, one of Southern California’s largest locally owned financial institutions, returns as the presenting sponsor of The San Diego Union-Tribune Countywide Spelling Bee, presented in collaboration with the San Diego County Office of Education. This year’s virtual event will be broadcast Thursday, March 24, on iTV Cable 16.

North Coast Link logo.The San Diego Union-Tribune Countywide Spelling Bee is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in public or private schools with a combined enrollment of 30 or more children. The overall winner of the countywide Spelling Bee will be awarded the title of Spelling Bee Champion and will compete in the 2022 Scripps National Spelling Bee.

“SDCCU is pleased to once again partner with the San Diego County Office of Education and The San Diego Union-Tribune to sponsor this inspiring educational event,” SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell said. “This event offers a platform to showcase the advanced spelling skills local students have been working on throughout the year.”
