OsideNews:

Oceanside CA— Facility management firm Kellermeyer Bergensons Services of Oceanside recently announced its acquisition of a national competitor, Kimco companies.
The purchase of Kimco Holdings and Kimco Facility Services from Cerberus Capital Management was announced April 4.
Kellermeyer Bergensons Services’ purchase of 15 companies over the past four years makes it the largest privately held facility services provider in North America, according to the company.
“Kimco is a respected facility services leader with a deep track record of building trusted client relationships,” Mark Minasian, Kellermeyer Bergensons Services CEO, said in a news release. “More than ever, clients require partners who can deliver reliable, high-quality services at scale while overcoming complex market challenges. Kimco provides us with greater depth in the business and industrial sectors and we warmly welcome their talented team to the KBS family.”
Kellermeyer Bergensons Services, which also goes by KBS, is a facilities management company with more than 100,000 client sites throughout North America. The privately held company provides services such as cleaning and disinfecting, operations support and exterior maintenance.
Atlanta-based Kimco is a leading national provider of similar services and will operate as a KBS company, according to KBS’s announcement.
“We are excited to join KBS, a recognized leader who shares our commitment to providing best-in-class client experiences and leading solutions to create healthy and safe environments,” Kimco CEO Sandeep Gupta said in the news release. “Our clients will now have access to a broader portfolio of services supported by national scale, enabling us to serve their facility needs today and well into the future.”
Recently, KBS provided facility cleanup services for the NCAA Final Four Weekend at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
KBS has acquired 15 companies over the past four years to build on its market-leading solutions and expand into new end markets and regions. Today, KBS is the largest privately held provider of facility services in North America, providing scalable, technology-enabled solutions across more than 100,000 locations.
“Healthy operations remain central to organizations across sectors and KBS continues to grow to meet the mission-critical needs of clients,” said Bob Warden, global head of private equity at Cerberus. “The addition of Kimco further expands KBS’ ability to provide tailored, technology-driven solutions and builds on its distinct market leadership.”
