Oceanside CA – DS Action, in partnership with San Diego Harley-Davidson and TV personality, Leonard Simpson of Fashion Forward® are pulling out all the stops to stage ‘Style in Motion’ held on Saturday, June 28th, 2014 from 8p.m. – 11p.m., opening with a VIP/Red Carpet Reception at 7p.m. This is a party and fashion show to benefit DS Action, a San Diego-based organization that advocates for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
This not-to-be-missed charity event is supported and sponsored by Honorary Chairpersons, John & Heather Winfield of FINE Magazine; along with Co-Chairs and local philanthropists Kristi Pieper, Dr. Manoj Motwani and David Reicks. The hosts for the evening are sisters, Britt and Gretchen Hackmann, Founders of Nubry; a fashion and lifestyle blog.
The one-of-a-kind fashion show, staged at the trendy, new headquarters of San Diego Harley-Davidson, will feature an exciting range of fashions and designers, professional models and celebrities. Produced by Leonard Simpson of Fashion Forward® – a renowned TV Personality and Fashion Producer, known for his theatrical Broadway-Style shows.
Provided by San Diego restaurants and businesses; are the “fuel stops” to energize guests with hors d’oeuvres, wine by the glass, beer and more. Attendees will also enjoy a variety of shopping, a live/silent auction and entertainment. Gentlemen can cruise over to the Harley-Davidson VIP Lounge to enjoy the billiards, ping pong and more. Guests are encouraged to gear-up with the evening’s theme of Denim Chic.
The hope of the ‘Style in Motion’ event is to raise funds for DS Action and reach a new audience to ensure that all of those with Down syndrome receive the care they deserve.
All proceeds will benefit DS Action projects, including the Down Syndrome Center at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, which the organization established in January 2008.
