Carlsbad CA– A Free, Live Simulcast, will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2014, at 6 pm, at the Carlsbad Community Church, in the Worship Center, over 1,000 seats available.
Questions that will be discussed are:
• Has science disproved God?
• Are science and faith really in conflict?
• Just how “scientific” are the claims of leading atheists?
• Are human beings the result of an unguided Darwinian process?
• Does nature supply evidence of intelligent design?
The simulcast will feature two of today’s leading speakers and writers on the intersection between science and faith. Dr. John Lennox is Professor of Mathematics at Oxford University holds doctorates from Cambridge University, Oxford University, and the University of Wales. Referred to by some as today’s C.S. Lewis, Dr. Lennox has debated leading atheists and authored numerous books. Director of the Center for Science and Culture at Discovery Institute, Dr. Stephen Meyer is author of, “Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design and Darwin’s Doubt: The Explosive Origin of Animal Life and the Case for Intelligent Design”, a New York Times bestseller.
The MC is Eric Metaxas who is author of the award-winning New York Times bestseller, “Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy” which has been translated into 15 languages. Along with his colleague John Stonestreet, Metaxas is the voice of BreakPoint, a radio commentary that is broadcast on 1,400 radio outlets with an audience of eight million people.
