Father Joe’s Villages believes soup tastes better in hand-painted bowls–especially ones painted by Father Joe and homeless children supported by the organization.
Soup at the event is made by The Tomorrow Project, which provides homeless women the opportunity to learn vocational skills while creating gourmet food products and selling them in the community.
All month long Father Joe’s Villages’ Good Neighbor Month included a variety of events to raise awareness about homelessness, encourage neighborly acts and provoke important dialogue around key homelessness issues. Soup’s On creates an evening for San Diegans to gather in communal spirit over a warm meal and raise important funds to help end the cycle of homelessness.
The event is Friday, September 26, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Father Joe’s Villages Headquarters at Seaport Village at 789 West Harbor Drive
