Oceanside CA— Fitness Sensation and former Sumo Wrestling Gold Medalist, Jovann Rushing will host a ‘Pump An End to Hunger’ food drive in his hometown of Oceanside. The event will take place at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Oceanside (www.bgcoceanside.org) 401 Country Club Lane from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015.
The food drive, during Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Weekend of Service,  is benefiting Brother Benno’s (www.brotherbenno.org).
Jovann Rushing is a USA Sumo Wrestling Gold Medal Champion; Nationally-Ranked Pro-Bound Champion Bodybuilder; Personal Trainer; Nutrition Consultant; Brand-Awareness Spokesman/Ambassador/Advocate; Actor and Model.
Rushing aka “Yohon Smash” aka “Rushing Reps” is family and a multi-platform, cross-over champion athlete-client born in Heidelberg, Germany, was raised and still lives in Oceanside.
He has transitioned from the gold medal-winning ranks of Sumo Wrestling to become a nationally-ranked pro-bound champion bodybuilder, and he also serves as a brand-awareness spokesman/ambassador/advocate, personal trainer, nutrition consultant, literacy advocate, actor and model.
Jovann Rushing is an advocate-supporter of various international causes, charities and concerns. He often speaks at school programs, and participates in education/health/fitness/nutrition/wellness forums, seminars and workshops. He is also a fitness, food, football and film buff. Jovan’s journey is helping to bring greater international awareness to counter bullying, diabetes, hunger, illiteracy, childhood obesity challenges and concerns. He is currently working on a media project, and is considering a number of broadcasting, film and marketing sponsorship options.
