Carlsbad CA— The annual ‘Celebrate Carlsbad Day™’ at LEGOLAND® California will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015 starting at 1 p.m. Specially priced $25 LEGOLAND tickets include admission with Park hours extended to 8 p.m. SEA LIFE® Aquarium tickets are also available at a discounted rate of $9 each with admission to SEA LIFE Aquarium starting at 9 a.m. A parking fee will be collected at the gate.
LEGOLAND will donate a portion of the event proceeds to the Carlsbad Educational Foundation (CEF) to support district-wide science initiatives for students at all Carlsbad Unified School District (CUSD) Schools. LEGOLAND will also donate hundreds of free field trip admission tickets to Carlsbad students for hands-on science field trips.
This event features the unique opportunity for CUSD students to perform and donor recognition to take place on a special stage in Miniland U.S.A. at LEGOLAND on April 25th between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
“With a continuous need for additional funding for our schools, CEF is committed to developing community partnerships within Carlsbad. Since the first community day in 2004 and the first ‘Celebrate Carlsbad Day’ in 2008, the generous support of LEGOLAND has allowed us to fund district-wide science programming critical to the success of the 11,000 students we serve,” said Michelle Ginn, chief executive officer of the Foundation. “Since LEGOLAND opened its gates in Carlsbad in 1999, they have consistently embraced the Foundation’s efforts to raise much-needed funds for the Carlsbad schools. LEGOLAND California’s commitment to education and their partnership with the Foundation has made a tremendous impact on our community and we couldn’t be more appreciative.”
There are sponsorship opportunities available and CEF invites corporations and small businesses to get involved. Sponsorship levels include a check presentation during the two hour live show, a company banner displayed on the stage and numerous other promotional opportunities. Interested parties can call Patty Johnson, Director of Development at (760) 929-1555 to learn how to get involved.
“Here at LEGOLAND California, we believe strongly in the value of education and supporting our local community,” said General Manager of LEGOLAND California Resort Peter Ronchetti. “That’s why the annual ‘Celebrate Carlsbad Day’ is so important in our efforts and we are honored to support the efforts of the Carlsbad Educational Foundation to raise funds for our local schools.”
