Oceanside CA— Carl DeMaio is the guest speaker at the next Oceanside Republican Women Federated- Politics 101 meeting, May 2^nd 2015. DeMaio, a former San Diego City Council member and candidate for Mayor of San Diego, is currently working with former San Jose Mayor, Chuck Reed to explore the possibility of placing a pension reform initiative on the 2016 statewide ballot.
DeMaio won a seat on the San Diego City Council in 2008 and helped turn that city around from the brink of bankruptcy through his ‘Roadmap to Recovery’ reform agenda.
Politics 101 is a meeting in a relaxed atmosphere to inform anyone interested in topics of the day. The meeting is are on the last Saturday of the month and now held in the newly built Veterans Resource Center. Politics 101 is sponsored by the Oceanside Republican Women Federated but anyone is welcome to learn topics of interest in community, state and national.
