Carlsbad CA— Carlsbad City Library is hosting Women and Money: Making Your Money Live to Be 100 – the Unique Challenges Women Face on Saturday, May 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Georgina Cole Library, located 1250 Carlsbad Village Drive. Seating is first come, first served. For more information call 760-434-2871, or visit www.carlsbadlibrary.org.
The free financial planning workshop addresses longevity planning and the heightened financial challenges women may face in their later years. The program is being led by Shelley Murasko, a financial advisor at Bahr Investment Group and Nadia Shokohi, an independent wealth manager.
“The good news is that people are living longer than ever,” said Leila Dooley, a City of Carlsbad senior reference librarian. “Longer lives, however, bring about financial challenges that women in particular will face as they get older. This seminar is designed to inspire women and give them the skills needed to face these challenges and succeed.”
