Vista CA— Operation HOPE-Vista, a cold-weather shelter serving both homeless families with children and single women will host its Spring Open House on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 2 – 4 PM at the shelter located 859 E. Vista Way.
The event will serve as culmination of the highly successful 12th shelter season, just ended, helping homeless families and single women rebuild their lives and regain self-sufficiency.
Learn about the shelter and its programs, tour the facility, meet the staff, and learn about volunteer opportunities. Light refreshments will be served.
The latest shelter season for OHV began on November 1 and ended last month on March 31. During this time 108 individuals were served, 56 of whom were children. The shelter operates on a highly collaborative model, employing support from government, social service agencies, individuals, businesses, and the faith community.
