Carlsbad CA— The City of Carlsbad is hosting its 11th annual Teen Talent Shows series for local students this summer at the Carlsbad City Library, located 1775 Dove Lane. Three shows are scheduled and organized by talent. The Singing Talent Show is July 9; the Dancing Talent Show is July 23; and the Teen Creative Talent Show, featuring skits, instrumental music and other artistic expressions, is Aug. 6. All performances begin at 7 p.m. at Carlsbad City Library’s Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium.
Participation and performances are free. Teens from seventh through 12th grade are eligible to participate. The competitors will be judged by a three-person panel. Prizes will be awarded to all contestants, and the top three finishers will receive special prizes.
Registration for the talent shows is required by the Tuesday before the scheduled show date. Performances must be less than six minutes long. To register or for more information, contact Darren Williamson at darin.williamson@carlsbadca.gov or 760-602-2058.
