Bidding Ends July 6, 2015

Del Mar CA— It’s time to get your bid on! Don Diego Scholarship Foundation’s Online Auction of autographed guitars and other unique memorabilia has opened at www.dondiegoscholarship.org. The bidding closes July 6, 2015 at 12 am PDT.
Among the iconic items guaranteed to delight are guitars autographed by Stars of the San Diego County Fair Grandstand and Friends of the San Diego County Fair. Other signature pieces, including coveted, one-of-a-kind collectibles, are being added as the auction rolls along. Each offers a buy-it-now option. Many can be viewed at the Fair.
 
Auction proceeds benefit the Foundation’s educational programs. In 2015, 14 outstanding high school seniors from throughout San Diego County are sharing an all-time Don Diego high of $42,500 in college scholarships. Executive Director Chana Mannen says, “You can be the winning bidder of a guitar signed by legendary musicians, and your donation will be music to the ears of scholarship recipients.”
The Don Diego Scholarship Foundation was named for Don Diego, AKA Tom Hernandez, who served as the Fair’s welcoming goodwill ambassador from 1947-1984. The Foundation has awarded more than $682,500 in college scholarships and grants for agricultural education since its inception in1986.
