San Diego CA— Handsome and friendly California desert tortoises – our endangered state reptile – and many other species of turtles and tortoises will steal the hearts of Balboa Park visitors during San Diego Turtle and Tortoise Society’s annual show and always popular plant sale. On August 1st and 2nd, visitors will be able to get “up close and personal” with these wonderful creatures and learn about their proper care and how to adopt (no animals are sold).
Admission to the annual show is free and it will be held at Balboa Park in Casa del Prado, Room 101. The show will run on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Beautiful plants, delicious baked goods, refreshments, great t-shirts and other turtle related items will be available for sale. All proceeds from our show go to benefit turtles and tortoises.
