Encinitas CA— Here are some events and classes for August at the San Diego Botanic Garden, 230 Quail Gardens Drive in Encinitas.
Sunday, August 9, 5:00 – 8:00 pm, San Diego Botanic Garden. 230 Quail Gardens Drive. Adults: SDB Garden members $15/Non-members $25; Children (3-12 years) SDB Garden members $5/Non-members $10.
Summer Jazz Concert featuring The Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame Orchestra. Spend the evening listening to the sounds of the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame Orchestra performing the music of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Count Basie and more! Sculpture in the Garden. This unique exhibition showcases sculptures from 27 talented artists set against the beautiful backdrop of the San Diego Botanic Garden. Double Takes Art/Photo Show & Sale. A botanical illustration display with a twist! This exhibit showcases the photography of Rachel Cobb, an International Photographer, and the botanic illustrations of Lesley Randall, SD Botanic Garden’s Curator of Collections. Thursday Family Fun Nights. Families are invited to pack up the kids and enjoy some outdoor fun in Hamilton Children’s Garden at San Diego Botanic Garden. Live, kid-friendly entertainment is provided each Thursday night from 6-7 pm.
