Oceanside CA— On September 9 2015, AT&T presented $120,000 to Interfaith Community Services to support their Transitional Youth Program.
The program supports resilient youth who are at-risk of dropping out of high school by providing intensive one-on-one academic mentoring, leadership development, and workforce training to empower students to successfully graduate from high school, achieve college enrollment, and move on to high growth careers.
In November 2014, AT&T announced a $300,000 contribution to Interfaith Community Services to assist in launching the Transitional Youth Academy program at El Camino High School in Oceanside. The $120,000 presented on Sept. 9 is an installment of this contribution.
With AT&T’s support, the Transitional Youth Program was able to expand to El Camino High School last year, enrolling 54 students. Half of the students participated in summer internships at the City of Oceanside, MiraCosta College, the Boys and Girls Club, Go Green Agriculture, Ivey Ranch Park Association, and within Interfaith.
The donation was a part of AT&T Aspire, its signature education initiative focused on school success and career readiness. With an unwavering commitment to data-driven education outcomes, AT&T Aspire has impacted more than 1 million students since its launch in 2008.
