Now Offers Programming at Nine Sites to Begin School Year

Oceanside CA— Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside has expanded, adding a Club location at Springs Charter School. Through this collaboration, the Club is offering before and after school programming to youth who attend the dual immersion English/Spanish program, which is located 1985 Peacock Blvd., Oceanside, CA 92056.
The Club also has after school programs at their Townsite Clubhouse, as well as South Oceanside, San Luis Rey, Libby, Foussat and Palmquist Elementary Schools and Martin Luther King Middle School. In addition, they offer sports programs at Roosevelt Middle School. This fall programs include coed surf club, coed cross country and girls volleyball.
“For many youth in our community, the end of the school day signals the start of an afternoon without supervision, without productive activities and without direction. More than 1,100 youth participate in engaging and life changing Club programs each day. By providing these programs, our members receive invaluable benefits: a safe and supervised environment, academically enriching activities, healthy snacks and meals, and caring and supportive mentors. BGCO also provides working parents with peace of mind knowing that their child is in a safe and supervised space during the out-of-school hours,” says Jodi Diamond, CEO.
Statistics show that youth involved in engaging programs during out of school hours are more likely to graduate high school with a plan for the future.
