Oceanside CA— October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the Friends of Oceanside’s Women’s Resource Center (WRC) invite the community to help in their efforts to raise awareness about domestic violence and how to end it.
Please join the Friends for beverages, bites and bonhomie from 5:30 p.m. –7:30 p.m., on Friday, October 23, on the patio of Apotheque Spa & Succulent Café (322 North Cleveland Street, Oceanside).
Advanced reservations are required and can be made by calling 760-439-7950 or by mailing this flyer [Download]. Tickets are $30 per person. All proceeds will be dedicated the Friend’s FUN FUND to support their mission to provide special activities for the children in residence at the WRC’s battered women’s shelter and transitional housing facility. These extras are not in the Center’s budget, but are so critical to create a sense of normalcy and well-being for the children.
