Oceanside CA— The 2nd Annual Pancake Breakfast will take place November 21st, 2015 from 7:00am – 12 noon at the Veteran’s Association of North County, 1617 Mission Avenue.
Due to a water heater break, the clubhouse, located 1606 Missouri Ave, was flooded. The flood caused the floor to lift and required plumbing repairs, a new water heater, water removal, new floors and general cleanup.
“We have worked diligently to pay over half the costs to repair our building. Our 2nd Annual Pancake Breakfast will hopefully get us to the point that our bills will be paid in full.”continued Carolyne “Doc” Hensel, the clubs co-President, “We are indebted to an outstanding group of community workers – Joanne Green, Lorraine Tschaeche, Catherine Goff, Cheryl McGlocklin, Linda Selvidio, Norma Lamascus, Ida Acuna, Janet Shannon, Kathleen Clark, Chuck Atkinson, Doc Hensel, MaryLou Voigt and many others from Civitan, Optimists, Rotary, Palomar District, and Woman’s Club of Oceanside along with the many VANC organizations.”
