Introduction to Manual Mills & Lathes
Through a hands-on lathe project, learn about turning, facing, tapers, knurling, boring, drilling, threading, and dialing in stock. On the mill, learn climb milling, conventional milling, dialing in a vise, and trimming. Students will also get exposed to blueprint reading and metallurgy.
Dates: Monday-Friday, 12/7-12/18

Blueprint Reading I
This introductory blueprint-reading course is intended for students in manufacturing trades. In this hands-on class, learn the steps to read and correctly interpret blueprints as well as draw and edit.
Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 12/1-12/17
Times: 5-7:30 p.m.
Cost: $75
CNC Operation
Through lots of demonstration and hands-on instruction, get an introduction to terminology, learn basic blueprint reading, learn how to set up and operate both a HAAS CNC mill and lathe, how to use probes, and how to interpret G&M codes.
Dates: Monday-Thursday, 11/30-12/17

Introduction to Mechatronics
Mechatronics is the blend of mechanical, electrical, programming, and control systems. In this intro course, students will get the chance to solder, work with gears and motors, and program their automated device to respond to outside stimuli. Students will get a chance to take home what they’ve built.
Dates: 2 Saturdays, 12/5 & 12/12
Times: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Cost: $75. Material fee: $35.
3D Design/3D Printing
Learn the design cycle while creating actual products you can use! In this class, you will gain experience with SolidWorks, 3D Printers, test instruments, robotics, and the engineering design process.
Dates: Monday-Friday, 12/7-12/11

Soldering Basics
This is the perfect entry-level course on electrical soldering.
