Encinitas CA— The Encinitas Historical Society will hold a Treasure Hunt Fundraiser at the 1883 Schoolhouse, 390 W. F St., Encinitas, from 8 am to 4 pm on Saturday, Feb. 6.
Treasures have been donated by generous members of the Encinitas community, and they include vintage and antique pieces, art pieces, plants and other collectibles and memorabilia.
“Come on out and shop at our 1883 Schoolhouse and pay a fraction of the retail price for the treasures you will find,” says Encinitas Historical Society President Carolyn Cope. “The money raised at the Treasure Hunt will help us fund new and exciting programs this year,” Cope adds.
One of the biggest projects planned this year is incorporating the 1883 Schoolhouse into the Pacific View site. The Encinitas Historical Society is a partner with the Pacific View Arts, Culture and Ecology Alliance, which has been chosen by the city of Encinitas as the operating partner for the site.
The Encinitas Historical Society is organized as a nonprofit public benefit corporation. Its funding comes from memberships in the “Friends of the 1883 Schoolhouse,” community donations, fundraisers and grants.
