Oceanside CA— Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis went to Mission Elementary School to do Child ID, fingerprinting the 2nd graders on Thursday January 28, 2016. There are 1,495 second graders in the 15 schools in OUSD that the Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis committee will bring Child ID program to, the purpose of which is for students’ safety and parents’ support. With the program, parents have their children’s fingerprints in case of emergency.
The Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis (OPK) has been serving the youth and the community of Oceanside, California since February 24, 1981 when the Club was granted it’s charter. The bulk of their community and youth service is done by their major committees of Youth Service, Community Service, Sponsored Youth, Young Children: Priority One, Senior Services, and Human and Spiritual Values.
