Oceanside CA— The inaugural Oceanside Valentine’s Week celebration kicked off early Thursday morning with the unveiling of a 25-foot inflatable heart at the Farmers market. Mayor Jim Wood cut the ribbon to begin the week festivities with the event being covered live by San Diego television news outlets. The heart was on display again for the Sunset Market. Also during the Sunset Market, members of the Oceanside Police and Fire departments along with Oceanside Lifeguards had displays set up displays and answered questions during the annual Public Safety Night. Oceanside Valentine’s Week is actually a ten day celebration of activities all relating to Valentine’s Day and continues tonight with the First Friday ArtWalk. During these ten days there will be discounts/specials at restaurants and hotels, Military Weddings at the beach, Shakespeare Play at Apothoque, and the City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation will host a free double feature at the Junior Seau Pier Amphitheater on Saturday, February 13; Tangled at 6 p.m. and Sleepless in Seattle at 8 p.m..
The MainStreet Valentines Mixer will be held Tuesday, February 9th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, at the Apotheque Lifestyle Spa located, 322 Cleveland Street in Downtown Oceanside.

H&R Block will be at the Valentines Mixer to answer your business or personal tax questions.
The first ever Valentine’s 5 K Run/Walk and Valentine’s Bike events which will take place on Sunday, February 14. The Valentine’s 5K in the morning and the Bike Ride in the afternoon will conclude at Oceanside Civic Center, 300 North Coast Highway, where there will be an Expo with vendors and a beer garden.
