Registration for Championship, Benefiting Carlsbad Boys And Girls Club, Opens March 29

Carlsbad CA—Registration for the 36TH Vigilucci’s Beach Bocce Ball Championship on Saturday, July 9, at Dog Beach in Del Mar will open on Tuesday, March 29, at 10:00 am PST on-line at www.beachbocce.com.
The popular annual championship is expected to sell out within an hour.
The 2015 Vigilucci’s Beach Bocce Ball Championship XXXV attracted a sold-out crowd of 412 teams of seasoned and first-time players who competed in 1020 games on 81 courts and raised over $100,000, bringing the event’s 35-year total fundraising to more than $1 million.
“As our sponsor 91X said, we sell out faster than Coachella” said Tournament Co-Founder John Manson. “Even though competition is stiff, good times reign. Quite simply, it’s a wonderful crowd enjoying a great day raising money for a great local children’s organization.”
Vigilucci’s Beach Bocce World Championship is known for colorful costumes, great location and bocce fun with many participants wearing matching bocce-themed team costumes. Men’s, women’s, and mixed divisions are offered and proceeds from the event are donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Carlsbad.
