Encinitas CA— The Encinitas Historical Society will host a free docent-led walking tour of the Encinitas Historical District on Saturday, March 19. Meet at the 1883 Schoolhouse at 10:00 a.m. at 390 W. F Street. During the tour visitors will learn how Encinitas’ population doubled in the late 1880s and find out why the city did not have water until the 1920s.
You will walk in the footsteps of movie stars of the Classical Hollywood Cinema Era who visited and lived in Encinitas. Visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras to take a picture of the most photographed buildings in Encinitas.
The tour finishes around noon. For more information, call docent Barbara Vilardo at (661) 992-5740.
