Oceanside CA— The Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis held their Ninth Annual ‘Beach Fun Day’ event, at the Oceanside Harbor, focusing on children with special needs.
The kids were treated to a half-hour boat ride, kite flying, a visit by the Oceanside Fire Department, Police Department and Lifeguards along with static displays of equipment from Camp Pendleton.
Ronald McDonald made a special visit along with his “cousins” from the Clown Conspiracy.
Oceanside and El Camino High School cheerleaders led the kids in some dancing and each child received a kite, book and book bag and a special “Beach Fun Day” t-shirt commemorating the event.
“The Beach Fun Day event could not be such a success without the full support of our members, the City, the school district and many supporting organizations and individuals in the community” said Richard L. Burton, Chairman of Beach Fun Day for the Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis (OPK).
