Oceanside CA— The School of Rock Oceanside House Band will play as opening act for the Sundance Band’s performance at the Tuesday, July 26 Wild West Summer event at Mission Marketplace, located 471 College Boulevard, in Oceanside. The FREE Wild West Summer events continue through August 30 each Tuesday from 6 – 8 p.m. with live music, children’s craft activities, prize giveaways and cooking contests. OsideNews Managing Editor, Steve Marcotte will be a judge this Tuesday for the Best Baked Beans contest.
The Sundance Band is one of two top area bands performing on alternating Tuesdays at the weekly Wild West Summer, the Sundance Band on July 26 and August 9 and 23, and La Huella Nortena on August 2, 16 and 30.
Talented student musicians from Oceanside School of Rock will be the opening act for the professional bands this Tuesday and again on August 30. Directed by Phil Pardell, the young entertainers will rock out from 6 – 6:30 p.m. before the Sundance Band performs from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Wild West Summer also features weekly cooking contests. People can show off their culinary talent for the opportunity to win prize in upcoming contests:
