Dec. 3 Event Benefits Health Services for Underprivileged Children

Vista CA— Since it began in 1986, Vista Community Clinic’s Holiday Homes Tour has grown to become an eagerly anticipated seasonal event for hundreds of area residents. The festive tour, the perfect kickoff for the holiday season, benefits the Kare for Kids Fund to improve pediatric facilities at VCC.
The 31st annual Holiday Homes Tour, to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, December 3, celebrates three decades of excellence in holiday home design. As in years before, a team of professional designers will give their time and talents to create elegant holiday displays in four beautiful residences in Vista. Also featured in the tour is the historic Rancho Buena Vista Adobe, considered to be one of the best preserved historic structures in the state. Adobe volunteers will decorate the historic home.
Tour visitors will also have the opportunity to shop at the Holiday Bazaar. The outdoor market will feature clothing, jewelry, home décor and skin care products made by North County artisans. A gourmet food truck will offer various breakfast and lunch choices.
Since its inception, thousands of visitors have come to enjoy the opportunity to tour some of the most beautiful homes in San Diego’s North County featured in the annual Vista Community Clinic (VCC) Holiday Homes Tour. The event, a holiday tradition for many in San Diego County and beyond, is a benefit for the VCC Kare for Kids Fund to provide medical services to underprivileged children.
A highlight of this year’s event is the Holiday Bazaar featuring the work of local artisans. Visitors can browse through dozens of vendor booths featuring chocolate, jewelry, handbags, art, home décor and other gift items. A gourmet food truck will provide breakfast, lunch and beverages for purchase
Tickets to the tour are $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the tour. To purchase tickets, visit www.vcc.clinic/hht or call 760.631.5000 x1139 to speak with Betsy Heightman, the tour’s developer. On the day of the tour, tickets can still be purchased at the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe, 640 Alta Vista Drive, Vista.
Holiday Homes Tour is made possible by the generous participation of North County homeowners; event sponsors; a talented team of designers; and dozens of other volunteers who assist VCC in every aspect of the planning and execution of the tour.
Guests will park at Together We Grow, 2120 Thibodo Court in Vista. Free shuttles will transport them to three out of the four featured homes, and parking instructions for the fourth home will be given. A map of the destinations will be provided, and visitors can choose which homes they see first, and how long they stay at each. Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour Together We Grow, a daycare facility for medically fragile and other children.
