Oceanside CA– Oceanside Promise partners are joining together to promote the importance of early literacy and to encourage enrollment in high quality early childhood environments during two upcoming Oceanside neighborhood events.
Families with young children and students surrounding Libby Lake Park, June 19: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Balderrama Park: June 25, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.are invited to the events, which are free to the public and will offer FREE food, fun, and literacy-based activities.
The Oceanside Promise partners are committed to improving the success of young children and students throughout Oceanside. Our early childhood success efforts are focused on increasing Kindergarten readiness and third grade literacy in our highest poverty, and lowest performing neighborhoods. With a shared vision and aligned resources we believe that we can ensure children and families have the support their need to help every child and student reach their fullest potential in college, career, and life. In-kind and financial support for the events is provided by San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency / Live Well San Diego, North County Lifeline, Wal-Mart, and Mission Federal Credit Union.
