Sunday, August 12, 5:00 – 7:00 pm, San Diego Botanic Garden. 230 Quail Gardens Drive. Adults: SDB Garden members $15/Non-members $25; Children (3-12 years) SDB Garden members $5/Non-members $10. Summer Jazz Concert featuring The Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame Orchestra. Spend the evening listening to the sounds of the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame Orchestra performing the music of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Count Basie and more! This unique exhibition showcases 61 sculptures from 30 talented artists – including renowned local artist James Hubbell – set against the beautiful backdrop of San Diego Botanic Garden. Most sculptures are for sale and are part of the Garden’s fund-raising effort. Visitors are invited to take a self-guided tour with the Garden’s Sculpture Map. Enjoy an invigorating display of Chines Bruch Paintings by a select group of San Diego artists. Curated by Tiffany Wai-Ying Beres, a scholar of contemporary and traditional Asian art. The public is invited to a reception on Sunday, August 19 from 2-4 pm. Your paid admission to the Garden is your admission to the reception.
