San Marcos CA— The Republican Women of California San Marcos Luncheon at the St. Mark Country Club on February 4^th will feature a most timely speaker – Christopher J. Harris. Mr. Harris holds the elected position as Secretary for the Executive Board for Local 1613 – National Border Patrol Council, American Federation of Government Employees affiliated wth the AFL-CIO – and the appointed position as Director of Legislative and Political Affairs for the same organization. His career for over 35 years has been as a Law enforcement sworn officer of one sort or another at the local, state and federal levels both in New York and California. This past June he retired from the US Border Patrol with over 21 years as Border Patrol Agent and over 25 years as a federal Law Enforcement Officer. Among other appearances he has been featured on the Tucker Carlson show for FOX news and on our local KUSI TV station. It will be a compelling talk and discussion and we will look forward to asking the important questions that are on all of our minds.
We again want to invite all of our family, friends and neighbors to take part in our collection of old cell phones that we have been wondering what to do with (as was explained in the January issue of the Quail Call.) These cell phones will be refurbished (safely) and used for distribution through organizations such as Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Angels Warriors, The American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Research, Shelters for Battered Women and victims of natural disasters – just to name a few. We encourage you to take advantage of this worthwhile way to dispose of those old cell phones which seem to be outdated by the minute.
