Good Life Lectures Wednesdays in November at Cole Library

Carlsbad CA— Learn how to live your best life as health and wellness experts share tips, tools and insight on how to improve your quality of life. Lectures will be held Nov. 6, 13 and 20 at Georgina Cole Library, 1250 Carlsbad Village Drive. Admission is free; seating is first come, first served.

November 6

Vegetable Gardening 101 (Karen Greenwald)

This class will provide the basics for a successful and bountiful harvest, whether in the ground or in pots. San Diego Master Gardener Karen Greenwald will cover location, size, soil preparation, choosing vegetables, irrigation, harvesting and seed saving. Please note this class will be held outside Cole Library and will move inside in the case of rain.

November 13

Brain and Memory Support (Rose Thomas)

Learn how you can support your brain function through diet, nutrition, acupressure and aromatherapy. Learn some basic techniques to enforce new and old information, understand the brain basics and the triggers that increase forgetfulness and how to combat them. Rose Thomas is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist and nutritional counselor.

Successful Aging in Place (Kindra French)

We will highlight five important aspects to consider as you, your parents or a loved one “age in place”: Housing, Health & Wellness, Financial Resources, Transportation, and Community & Social Access. Participants will receive a copy of “Your Personal Guide to Successful Aging in Place.”
