North County spirit of giving on full display during annual gift collection celebration on December 14
Oceanside CA— North County Lifeline is harnessing the spirit of giving and spreading holiday cheer on Dec. 14 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at its annual Donation Drop-off Party, where staff members and volunteers will collect gifts for more than 250 families through its Adopt-a-Family program.
Community members, companies and community organizations will drop off their gifts for hard-working families who otherwise would not have the resources to celebrate the holidays. Donation items range from toiletries and blankets to food and toys.
Adopt-a-Family is a holiday giving program for Lifeline’s hard-working yet low-income clients. Businesses, organizations and individuals can “adopt” clients by purchasing gifts or donating online, to make the holiday season special.
As a thank you to donors and volunteers, North County Lifeline will host a Donation Drop-off Party with drinks and cookies, Santa Claus and arts and crafts for children. The event will take place at 642 Vista Village Dr. in Vista and volunteers will help donors unload gifts.
“We are so grateful for the outpouring of support and the generosity of our community members and corporate supporters,” said Don Stump, executive director, North County Lifeline. “Lifeline is a mighty nonprofit that uplifts our communities by building self-reliance among those facing serious life challenges. Our Adopt-a-Family program isn’t a handout – it’s helping our clients keep hope and focus on improving their lives.”
