Del Mar CA— Saddleback San Diego Church a Christian church that meets in Carmel Valley, is collecting canned and nonperishable food donations in support of students living in Carmel Valley, Del Mar, Encinitas and Carlsbad who attend Canyon Crest Academy (CCA), where the church meets on Sunday mornings.

Donated items, including canned meats, vegetables and fruits, peanut butter, pasta, rice, cereal, oatmeal, powered milk and infant formula, may be dropped off from 8 a.m. to noon, on Sundays through Dec 29, at CCA, 5951 Village Center Loop Road, San Diego.
Phil Sanchez serves as campus pastor at Saddleback San Diego. “Saddleback is committed to a culture of responsibility and dignity for children and families in all communities,” said Sanchez. “As we collaborate as a caring church family to end hunger by providing food and nutritious meals, we invite everyone to help us build and sustain healthy and well-nourished lives. Hunger and food insecurity exists around every corner in San Diego. Join us as we serve as the hands and fee of Jesus as a light to families who are discouraged and help us end hunger at Canyon Crest Academy.”
