San Diego CA— During May, Military Appreciation Month, Wounded Warrior Homes is seeking support from the community to continue their mission to serve combat veterans who are dealing with Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The Covid-19 economic downturn has hit Wounded Warriors Homes hard and they are looking for support to fund essential housing and transitional operations for veterans in need.
Over the past ten years, Wounded Warrior Homes has helped many veterans get back on their feet again through their program of transitional housing and hands-on case management. The financial fallout from the Covid-19 economic crisis is quickly depleting the nonprofit’s resources.
Wounded Warrior Homes needs to raise $34,000 to continue serving veterans in need. Donations will be used to meet the immediate housing and nutritional needs of the 13 wounded warriors in their core program and expanding their food pantry to accommodate any food insecure veteran family in San Diego County requesting help.
